At Good Shepherd, we continue to strive to find effective ways to serve our parish young people in ministry.  In this time of transition, as Good Shepherd searches for a new Director of Faith Formation and a new Coordinator of Youth Ministry parents and other interested adults can help minister to our youth so teens will know that they are an important part of our Faith Community.

We need YOUR help—parents and other adults who care about helping our youth find the way to live the Gospel.   Please volunteer to assist with an faith formation program, event or activity.  Teens need to see active and faithful adults living their faith so they can learn how to live their own faith in this world.  A volunteer team is planning a monthly event for our parish youth to help them feel connected and encourage their faith and positive relationships.

This year, we look forward to these important Youth Gatherings . Tentative Times for each event are 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated:

BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS MINISTRY: Please consider blessing another with the gift of a birthday cake! Through Sleep Out Saturday, we met a woman who shared her story of how birthdays just come and go, unnoticed sometimes, when you find yourself homeless. From her testimony, we began this ministry two years ago and deliver a birthday cake (home made or store bought) with "Birthday Blessings" written on it to Centre House, our local homeless shelter, on the 15th of each month.  We have volunteers signed up for the next few months, but consider adding your name and I will call you when the time comes to bake! Thank you so very much, this ministry reaches all ages... and can be a wonderful family gift to others! Sign up today!!!

Both groups are always in need of wonderful volunteers to help facilitate and chaperone events either on a one-time basis or throughout the program.  Please pray about spending time sharing your faith and have some fun with a great group of teens.  Since the expansion, our teens have taken great pride in making the Warehouse "shine" with color for Jesus.  Come and spend some time with us!
