At Good Shepherd, we are continuing to find effective ways to serve our parish young people in ministry. We encourage parents and other adults who care about helping our youth to find ways to live the Gospel to get involved. If you would like to volunteer to assist or have an idea to lead an event or activity please contact the parish office. Teens need to see active and faithful adults so they can learn how to live their faith in this world. Our Volunteer team is planning a monthly event for our parish youth (Grades 6-12) to help them feel connected to their faith and encourage positive peer relationships.

These events are planned for the upcoming year from 6:30-8:00pm:

  • September 26, 2019:     Basketball/Gaga ball/Fire pit jam

  • October 24, 2019          Pumpkin carving

  • November 21, 2019      Creative cooking

  • December 19, 2019       Gingerbread house decorating

Please continue to watch the parish bulletin and website for more information.  Pray for our young people and the parish of Good Shepherd as we explore ways to be better guides for our young men and women on their faith journey.

Please contact the parish office (238-2110) if you’d like to volunteer or for more information.

Please consider blessing someone with the gift of a birthday cake!  Through our Sleep Out Saturday Event we met a woman who shared her story of how birthdays just come and go, unnoticed sometimes, when you find yourself homeless.  From her testimony we began this ministry and deliver a birthday cake (homemade or store bought) with “Birthday Blessings” written on it to Centre House (our local homeless shelter) on the 15thof each month.

Consider adding your name and you will receive a phone call when it comes time to bake.  Sign-ups are located on the YOUTH MINISTRY/WAREHOUSE bulletin board near the main office.  Thank you for this ministry which can be a wonderful family gift to others!
